I'd suggest that juvenile boys have been more damaged by the last 20 years of "feminization", their behavior being branded as "toxic", and by the prioritizing of girls and women over boys and men in education and employment.
So the pendulum swings, making the very thing meant to be taught out of them, even that much more attractive. Which explains the rise in popularity of internet personalities like Clavicular, Andrew Tate, and Myron Gaines among young men, representing the most extreme aspects.
A middle ground would be nice.
Perhaps society should simply embrace the old adage: "Boys will be boys", ...and let them.
