The studio offered him to bottom onscreen for a certain amount of money, so he had the option to say "Yes, I will" or "No, I won't"; he exerted that option and said: "No; at least not for that money". Perfect! Nobody is going to produce a gun to point at him and make him bottom: that would be FORCING him, not offering him money. There are easier ways for Cliff to collect his $100,000 without putting it out there on video.
