I dont think its as special as it looks to be. The healing time is very quick, the pain level on the first piercing wasnt nearly as painful as the vertical because i had some scar tissue and adhesions from the previous piercing and a tight clitoral hood. Instead of 30 seconds of trying to get the piercing tube inside my hood. Their smallest tube wouldnt fit and it took more like an hour to get the placement in the proper place.

I have read some pretty scary alarminb stories about this, and want to make sure I find the right piercing specialist.

I had my ears pierced when I was a child by a neighbor lady who numbed my ears with ice and then stuck a sewing needle through each. I was so anxious to get this done too. My parents told me I had to wait until I was 13.
I am probably more reluctant now to have a piercing in my genitals than when I was 13 --- just now I am so much more aware of the pros and cons! Glad to hear the men really kinda like it, as I think women with hidden pretty jewelry is very sexy.

With running the risk of loosing all the feeling in your clit, why would you want to pierce it?
Go for the hood if you want a genital or a labia, don't do the clit. The body piercer here wont even do it because there is such a high risk of feeling loss.
