depends on the material... metal cock rings can be dangerous if left on too long.

Nitrile cock rings are pretty stretchy & comfortable for daily use. Silicone rubber isn't quite as stretchy as the nitrile, but not bad if sized properly.

Leather is also comfy if you don't snap it too tight.
