If you go to the site, the instructions given for measuring indicate that one should use a maximal girth, which makes it slightly less ridiculous. As for length, the author is not really clear on whether to use a fully bone-pressed length measurement, or something in between BPEL and NBPEL.

I have one problem with this chart: they didn't show women what a 6" circumference looks like before they filled it out. Most women would find 6x7 or 6x8 very uncomfortable.
