I never considered them to be prudish, but when they read a script and theres no needed/necessary cause for their character to be nude in the scene other than "just because" then I can understand why they would opt or demand to change that scene. Nudity needs to be genuine other wise its just implemented for the sheer horniess factor of with the script writer, director or producer... and actors can see right through that.

I never thought about it in this way. How actors could possibly see right through a director or writers bullshit about needing a nude scene lol.

On the other hand when it does make sense for a scene. An actor will sometimes use a body double or outright refuse. So even when it is truly genuine some still will have an issue.

There is really no need for Cody to go on full on nudity, and in fact, I don't even think there is a real need for him to go on that route. Like many pointed out, he is not that relevant. I personally feel that Cody is not really that dedicated in acting/Hollywood, or perhaps had felt burned out? IDK. He needed someone to trust and bank on him. He had been a supporting actor, and did not really bag any main lead acting in TV series. If CW had not been acquired, I think he could have done this route. I always think his acting is decent, and I liked him in All American. An action role and him shirtless suits him well. He starred in a biopic film, but that did not really pull any traction. I think he is now pass playing as a teen in tv series.

I think if he wants to do nudity, people should first take him seriously as an actor and pivot to that, IMO. But then again, IDK, what's in his mind. Probably like many people, that's a big deal for him. And despite him exposed already, he probably feel ashamed of that and don't really want him naked in "mainstream"

I can agree with that. Daniel Rattcliff who played Harry Potter, eventually did theatre and played in Equs on stage which had a good bit of nudity for which he participated in. If people wants to take you seriously, you have to do this. Even Jesse Williams did this too.

It could be burn out. Remember he is a working class actor so he attends many auditions throughout the year. It’s like a job when you have no active project.

He did post a photo of him sitting at a Netflix office, but it was probably about his Sync movie and working on a possible deal. As mentioned. He is a producer on it.

Hollywood is all about looks and he is competing against "other" hot guys for roles as well. So anything that could lead to an advantage, no doubt an actor will do it lol. But I agree, no need, but I also understand the industry he is in as well. It has not shortage of hot men. But so glad he stopped with the fillers.
