Glad someone mentioned this haha! UC Berkeley has a tradition where everyone runs through the stacks every year. There are a bunch of videos of it on YouTube. Search "Berkeley Naked Run"

We have censorship to thank that for. YT, IG, FB all started taking down such content when it started taking down other content. Much has been purged or shadowbanned since 2016.

I wonder how common it is now. When I was in college alcohol was easy to get, which always helped make streaking seem like a good idea, and guys grew up with gym showers so they were not as nervous about being seen naked.

people are just also way more social-media literate than the early 2000s when a lot of these were taken. If it does happen, no one posts it and/or keeps it to somewhere like snapchat where it can expire

Yes, there was a golden period in the late 2000s to early 2010s when YouTube was new and people would post all sorts of streaking and dare videos, thinking they were only sharing it with their mates. Once you get to the time of Snapchat in about 2012, they tend to be sent just between those concerned (presumably) and disappear from public view.

With organised things like the naked runs - as opposed to impromptu lost bets and such - I think people are far more aware that anyone could record them and put it online, so they are either toned down or don't happen. I did see videos on YouTube recently talking about "undie runs" so I presume that's what they've turned into. I've lost count of the number of videos I've seen where "naked" means "in my underwear".

Yeah I remember this video; it was from UNC maybe 5 or so years ago. The guy filming it is kind of cute but you never see a view of him waist down in the video - you see a lot from his classmates, though!
