Conor mcgregor

Seen this a lot lately
there is huge backlash of him appearing on Jimmy Fallon's show a week ago or so, and then backlash about him speaking about Lord Jesus adamantly.

The hypocrisy stems from him saying "he forgives himself" for mishandling the things God gave to him, which is part of the Christian faith, yet it's far more important to get Gods forgiveness then your own. Yet, his actions show he isn't actually remorseful/repentant.

Example, he was found liable in that civil case. If he truly found Lord Jesus, he wouldn't have tried to appeal it. He would have left it alone and accept punishment/atonement. And us horny fans here can see he still shows himself off and such.

Oh, gosh, why people who committed absurd crimes became christians?

Well, it's not just Christian, they also become muslim, lgbt, scientologist, hindu or even a jew.

The issue is, people use any scapegoat to appear as if they are changing or have become better when they aren't facing the actual issue

Yup. Kevin Spacey "came out" and is "gay" all of sudden when allegations of sexual misconduct came out against him. James McGreevey, Caitlyn Jenner, Bryan Singer and Phillip Schofield are other names.

The issue is people using a scapegoat to say "look over here" or "this is the reason why such and such" happened, instead of fully addressing the issues at hand. And along with LGBT, people have used other venues to do the same thing. McGregor is using Christianity, or more specifically Catholicism, to do the same.
