Let's collect some cool articles and studies right here.

I read recently an article about a new study that indicates that an intense workout before breakfast helped subjects prevent weight gain even when pigging out daily. Three groups of men were asked to increase their caloric intake by 30%. One group did nothing else different. The second group exercised after breakfast. The third group exercised before breakfast, on an empty stomach.

Members of group one gained an average of 6 pounds during the 6 week trial. Members of group two gained 3 pounds on average. However, members of group three had no weight gain.

I have always been most comfortable delaying my first meal until my first workout is behind me. Hmm. Intreresting.

Interesting idea for a Thread.

I heard any form of exercise before breakfast burns off fat, a long time ago and.....
I'll never forget the phrase I heard many years ago "Eat less, live longer."

While I don't have any articles to contribute, I do have a few personal thoughts which may count as study.... staying on this theme;

It is my belief that 'hunger' is a normal sensation and is a key to unlocking self awareness and strength and not something to be feared. I have been testing my limits (within reason) to hunger for years. I find it an interesting way (if a little unorthodox) of keeping my weight stable.

I can't play around with hunger myself. I start to enjoy it, and have been known to go weeks without eating. I have a tenuous relationship with food, and can get into disordered eating habits. I have to eat while the hunger is uncomfortable or I can make myself mentally and physically ill.

I feel bad for group 3 as that would generally make me light headed and would not give it my 100% into the workout.

Cool looking forward to this thread..... :)

^ Louie Simmons is spot on. :)

And so is Jon Paul Sigmarsson - even tho he is actually dead. ;) He was awesome on Strongest Man in the 80s. :p
