Cooper Koch

Any insider info on casting news for him ? Its odd he is not booking roles while everyone else is getting casted. His Monsters co-star wrapped up filming for Grotesquerie and is now onto another tv show filming. What is going on ? Is he being selective and looking for leading man roles and passing on other smaller roles in tv and film ?

He did just get an Emmy nomination. Let him take his time.

Nothing at the moment.

No
If you don’t have an answer no need to reply.
need to be rude. My response was let him take his time. He got an Emmy nomination. As a young actor that is a huge accomplishment in its own right.

When he’s got something to share we’ll all know.

He's rumored to be part of the movie adaptation of A Little Life but nothing confirmed yet.

He has literally addressed this directly in a recent interview

Very likely one of the things he was referencing in the above excerpt if I had to guess.

That book is very controversial and I don’t think a film will be made tbh. TV attempts have been rejected. I don’t know any studio who would put up money for it. The things that happen in that book are very sad and traumatic to capture on film.

It's perfect for a miniseries but get a gay writer/director to smooth out the story without losing its core essence.

It's not really odd. Cooper is openly gay, and show-biz homophobia still exists for many actors who do not try to behave in ways seen as straight acting.

From blog entry:
Cooper Koch: 'THE BODY'S WITNESS' & 'SWALLOWED'
"Cooper Koch identifies as gay. In June 2023, the actor opened up about his initial fears around being out in the acting industry, telling Edge Media Network: 'I remember when I was in college before I had come out and I was still studying in school, I really didn’t wanna come out. I was really afraid to be an actor and be gay just because I didn’t think anyone would take me seriously or I wouldn’t get cast, or I would be shunned or it just wouldn’t work...'
"Cooper Koch is already making a name for himself as a queer horror actor, having played gay characters in two 2022 LGBTQ+ fright-fests, Swallowed and They/Them."
