Cops' underpants

I have no idea what most cops wear but one who works out at the same gym as me wears tighty whities. Decent body and looks pretty damn good in briefs, plus he isn't shy about being naked. Very DILF like.

I had a fuck buddy once who was going through police training after being in the Marines. He was commando when I met him but had to wear something for training and settled into boxer briefs. That was a few years ago and haven't seen him since so no idea about now.

Police as a profession does not regulate specific underwear, it is a personal preference. As a profession and in our states police academy there is still an appreciate the merits of the jockstrap for the following reasons:
1. Support that is comfortable all shift. Police is active work. Hanging support of a jock compared to "compression" support. Police work is active.
2. The seamless 3" waistband. Excellent waist comfort when wearing an under belt and duty belt. No seams digging in.
3. Ability to discretely slip in a cup from your patrol bag for certain calls. The cup stays on place vs. moving sideways as will happen with other types of underwear.
4. Inexpensive.
The bulge cops present might be that of metal or plastic. Many police academies require male cadets to wear jocks with cups during combative training and daily physical training sessions. Our regional law enforcement training center makes male students wear their jocks and cups during class to get them accustomed to wearing them.

I couldn't help but notice the cup bulge on a neighbor who is a local police officer.
When opportunity presented, I asked him about his gear and he told me that all probationary patrolmen are required to wear ballistic vests under their shirts and jocks and cups under their trousers at all times while in uniform. These guys work 12 hour shifts so I am sure the cups must take some getting used to.

He wears corporal stripes, so I know he is no longer on probation, but as far as I can tell, he still packs the plastic

I had dated a deputy ( county employed ) and he used to stay over, so I know that he had no requirements regarding underwear. He wore colored boxer briefs, boxers and CK briefs from what I remember. He had a streak of jealousy that just didn’t fly with me. He would get jealous of me talking to single gay men. Never mind that conversing with gay men was a major part of my job and it was how he met me. I wished him well and explained numerous times that I never cheat on someone, so I helped him pack up that underwear and some other clothes that he kept at my house and sent him on to the next guy. From what I know, he hasn’t been in a relationship since. ( I am not stalking him; I remain good friends with some of his friends.)

I see underarmour is sold on several "uniform" web sites, very expensive. I tried their "boxer jock" with the crossover fly, the first ones I bought, although my usual size, were too tight and crushed my package uncomfortably, I bought the size larger, not much better. I would have expected a much more comfortable and conforming (like a jockstrap conforms) fit for a garment made for active sportswear.
I have given up on boxer briefs, at least for the summer, but I would be grateful to anyone who can recommend a brand that holds the package separately but firmly, jockstrap style.
Wow, it’s years since I posted!
If you’re in Britain, or you can get them online M&S at present have a limited Good Move range of square-cuts / hipsters and longer leg trunks in polyester with a high proportion of Lycra stretch. I’ve got a few of each, excellent close fit without crushing the (not so modest) essentials, hipsters come in black or mixed colour 3 pack, good for active wear and by the end of shift, comfortable for sleeping. Longer trunks come in black only and are good for office duties and getting in and out of vehicles.
They’ve no front opening, but I find the full unbuckling up-and-over operation is handy for readjusting things and tidying shirt, etc.

my husband is a cop, Ive been in the dept locker room many times, most of the guys wear dark colored boxer briefs, I can say years ago the majority wore basic tighty whities like Hanes, Fruit of the looms, Staffords, Jockeys, have seen a jockstrap hanging on a hook by the showers
