Not running out of ideas. More link avoiding the storyline we actually want so he can add as many characters possible to milk the series forever.
There will always be a "new character who is inexperienced in buttstuff" or a "top only who hasn't bottomed" and he probably assumes that will keep people interested.
I personally like the Dad and Grandpa characters so Im not thrilled for anything else tbh. Anything with Mateo is instant zzzzzzzz

Anyway, I think it's just him pushing this couple, like they have to happen for some weird reason.
Or maybe he read some of the posts of those pirating his comics about cheating being hot and wanted to have a little revenge on them by doing the opposite of what they want. He did create a really, forgettable comic afterwards about Mr. Takashi with a caption like monogamous is also hot.
I don't think he can run out of ideas, especially with the Carterverse. He can pair just about anyone. Maybe create a scifi situation where young Jacob gets to be fucked by old granda or something.

I think he just needs to stop moralizing his stories. Accept that people enjoy illicit stories. Most of his readers will not admit it openly, but they find monogamy boring, as evident by his forgettable Takahashi series.
