Come and Talk to Me -- Jodeci

COOOOOOOOME and Talk to Me (c'mon, c'mon)
I really want, I really want, I really want (I wanna know you!)
I really want to know you

(I wanna knooooooow)
You wanna tell me your name

Amapola, lindisima Amapola
Seras siempre en mi alma tu ya sola
Yo te quero, amada nina mia,
Igual que ama la flor la luz del dia

Amapola, lindisima Amapola
No seas tan ingrata ya amame
Amapola, Amapola
Como puedes tu vivir tan sola

Amapola

Golden Brown... The Stranglers...man, this tune still does it for me.

(ps..and before anyone jumps in to say....are you a smack addict?...I KNOW! that it's about Heroin, well, at least apparently about heroin...ok!!)

'never- aaaa- frown- with -golden-brown...'

That song is used in "Snatch" I have been a latecoming fan of the Stranglers ever since...

ah...never saw 'Snatch'....(the film lol)...any good? The song was always on the radio here in the UK in the early 80's...always remember driving in the volvo on hot summer days with the song blaring out...I was quite young so it made a big impression.

I feel kinda possessive of this song...truly my all time favourite by one of my all time favourite female artists....a song of a Poem by Robert Burns...'Jamie Come Try Me'...Eddie Reader. It took a lot for me to give this one away..although I'm sure it's not for everybody.

Colonel Claypool's Bucket Of Bernie Brains - The Big Eyeball in the Sky

Susie on the computer
Susie in the commode
Susie stuck her fingers down her throat
After chowing down a big bowl of rocky-road

In the pages of Cosmo
They like 'em waify and thin
Now wouldn't it be nice if Calvin Klein
Helped Susie wipe the vomit from her chin

And a few more as I'm in gentle music mode this eve......apologies I'll stop after this one lol...
'Woman in Chains' Tears for Fears...hauntingly beautiful song....slightly 80's feel...nonetheless....wonderful.
Kate Bush 'This Woman's Work' and also the cover by Maxwell....the album 'Now' version.
Kath Bloom 'Come Here'..also featured in the film 'Before Sunrise' with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.
My Mate Alice Russell...(in the Observer Review last sunday!) 'Tired Little One' and 'Reach Inside' with Bah Samba. She's just about to work with Massive Attack so listen out for her..this woman has a voice.
'No, no. no...' Dawn Penn.....rocking....
