Damien Haas

He has Said he is "mosttly" straight. He only sees or cares sexually in fem presenting people, and while he can Say a man is hot and Even hug or cuddle, nothing that goes on the sex level
Ooh where did he say this? All I know abt his sexuality is that he said he’s demisexual

If this is true I wouldn’t mind seeing him fuck a femboy lmaoo 😭😭

I think there is a video on Youtube, but 2 years ago he mention a Lot of that in his streams, and the he does has one nigth stand

Let's be honest, for a while Damien was desperately looking for a "cool" label. He tried the queer thing, justifying calling "queer" because might wanna cuddle with a guy? That was just dumb, and questionable harmful viewing, as if guys couldn't cuddle without making them "queer". In the end he got his cool little sticker by being diagnosed autistic, and started using it as a brand, wearing that autistic shirt and started most conversation remembering people he's autistic. After that he dropped the whole queer thing, which it's obvious he wasn't, be was just looking for something to make him different, or "special"

Yeah, I remember he REALLY wanted to be LGBTQ and I'm pretty sure he came out as bi for like a couple of weeks before going to polysexual and then demisexual, but then had to strongly say that he doesn't find men attractive, so I kind of think he shot himself in the foot with that.

I agree he was looking for what made him different or special, but I never read it as him "wanting to be queer" or "trying to be cool" or anything like that, I always saw it as experimentation. When you're lost you turn to all kinds of things being like "hey these people are relatable, I wonder if I might actually be one of them" and pull the same charade over an over again with all kinds of different people only to eventually find out you're lacking a couple diagnoses. I've done it, I've seen many other people do the same, except the difference is he was doing it where the whole world could see it and critique it when it turned out he didn't lean that way. I still think he leant into these things towards his audience, which a person with a platform shouldn't do for anything ever, but idk I just don't ever feel right saying that someone trying on a couple different sexualities is being harmful just because they're explaining it in a way that isn't quite right and then those particular experiments ended up not producing results.

Well said.

It’s very clear when you watch any of his content that he is not someone who acts out of malice, he just wants to find his tribe and sought it whilst being a public figure. Being lgbt didn’t turn out for him and that’s fine, we’re all due the respect to ourselves to experiment.

But my thing is, shouldn't you figure all that out BEFORE you decide to come out to an audience? It felt like we were seeing in real time his on sexual identity journey when in reality that something he should have kept private until he figured it out.

I believe THIS, i think he was trying to experiment things and how he felt, tho the whole part of being LGBTQ just because he could cuddle with a man was off setting, he found his place being autistic..
I could also Said he was trying to be "queer" because saige was from the community and i Guess he wanted to fit with her

Yeah the whole Damien might be queer saga was a bit cringe, but it never felt disingenuous to me.
I think he HONESTLY was trying to be part of the community, but it kind of felt very "Oh I'm friends with a gay person so how could I be homophobic?" Like it felt like he was trying for all the wrong reasons.

It felt more like "my grandma is 1/64th Cherokee, so I'm allowed to claim I'm Native American"

I think people can share information about trying on labels and stuff, but I do not think platformed people should lean into it towards an audience in the way he did, because then it lets the audience get attached to it when he doesn't even know if it's stuck with him yet. Hindsight is 20/20, I guess, but I just can't be mad at it in the first place

I feel from what I’ve seen in general in culture too, with the rise and larger acceptance queer culture/media/fashion is that some men have almost treated it more as a trend and style to co-opt (like veganism) rather than recognizing it as genuine identity and lifestyle for people. Like a lot of them seem to do it for cool-points almost.

Outside of that, I also definitely understand the allure for some men as the community and image of it is very safe from the hyper-masculine, dude bro, party/gym, “men don’t cry” culture that I’m sure a lot of them were constantly in or pushed toward by society

So they are super drawn into a space where they can have painted nails, women are nice and empathetic, they don’t have to be muscled out, etc. A lot of them don’t get though that being queer isn’t just saying you’re queer or bi or whatever. Not saying you have to prove your queerness by sucking cock or anything, but it seems a lot of them almost act in a way where the mentality is

“I’m not a hyper-masculine guy” and so they default to “I’m queer” as if it’s the only alternative, or because they want to shine of being “in” a group/community (even though they don’t reallllly meet criteria lol) like it genuinely seems as if some of these guys have substituted being alt/having alternative style with being queer, when they are not synonymous at all lol
