Probably not the best website to ask but i figured why not.

So online dating in my opinion is very deceiving and sort of like buying cloths online not knowing the size color or material its made of. You get there to meet and its a totally different person than you thought.

My question is this- how do you approach someone in person like say a girl at a register, waitress, maybe just someone you see from time to time without being creepy and get her number? I can admit I have very few instances where this has been successful and wondering if anyone has had consistent success with approaching a woman and getting that date. Thanks!

When i was dating i found the best approach was just to come out and say that you find her attractive and would she like to meet sometime for coffee etc. I admit it does not work every time but how else is she supposed to know you're interested? Maybe she is interested in you also? Just make sure you don't pressure her for the first time. Keep it simple and public.

I find that if you develop a relationship with the person, there is a point of natural evolution where asking them to go for coffee is perfectly fine. If the relationship or connection is mostly one-sided, or is more in your head, and nothing has been developed outside of polite chit chat while you are standing there paying for your bill, then jumping to the next level could be seen as inappropriate by the other person.

If there is a mutual attraction, take your time. At some point, the conversation will organically shift to doing something else. Being premature can nip whatever may have been there in the bud.
