David archuleta

One US top ten album, only one single that charted in the US and small venue tours. Are you the guy that usually claims Aaron Carter has a megastar career too?

David is still successful and still sells out venues when he tours there is a reason why he sells out and still makes enough money to produce his music, he has his specific target audience and he truly acknowledges that as far as indie artists go he's doing quite well. He's not in any means as relevant as he once was but he is doing well enough to be happy and I think that matters most than being a chart topper

One of his labels dropped him. The reason he sells out bars and civic centres is that there aren't many tickets to sell. I know unsigned student bands who sell out 150-300 capacity venues too, and they weren't on Idol. You said he had a "very successful career". Selling out small venues and only having one song make it to the chart is not a "very successful career". By all means, like him, even love him, but don't make out like he's some BTS/Shawn Mendes level act. The guy is as successful as other musicians who weren't on TV and do it part time. You can maybe claim "slightly successful", but he's nowhere near "very successful"

Shane Mendes and him are so similar. They can only hold the same note in every song.
