David archuleta

I guess I am just shocked how quickly he is moving in the gay community. No shame. I just didn't think this Mormon boy would spread his wings so quick. Good for him.
It's been almost 2 years since he came out? How long is he supposed to wait to spread his wings?

His voice is super distinctive. I saw a clip someone shared of his first performance (without explicitly naming him), and I could instantly tell it was him.

I’m not at all surprised he’s on the show. I could definitely see Dancing With The Stars for him in the near future, too.

And he stated he came out to family at 14. So he's known about himself and watched the community from afar for a while. He probably feels relief.

Well, he came out to them *in* 2014. But he’s said he started experiencing feelings towards the same gender around 12 years old.

Sorry, I did not mean to sound judgmental. I guess it is probably more of a self-report. As someone who was very involved with the Christian faith at one time, it has been very hard for me to feel comfortable in my gay identity. I am very proud of David and he deserves only the best.

This interview came out today. He took time to return alongside other American Idol contestants to serve as a mentor during Hollywood Week.

I love that his last answer is basically an essay while everyone else's is a few sentences. xD But at the same time, I get it. He spent so long not using his voice and hiding who he was, so now that he's becoming more open about that part of his life, his story spills out of him like a river. I really love that sort of authenticity and candor.

The part I felt was the best was even wearing a mask, you could David was smiling throughout his entire performance(s) which makes me happy cause every other time I've watched him perform it always seemed fake. Im glad he's finally free and enjoying himself.
