I have to disagree. At the begining of their careers, Victoria (Posh Spice) was more popular worldwide than him. Yes, she sucked big time. But she was a celebrity.

Yes she was a "celebrity" of sorts, but never universally well liked as a person and nowhere near the celebrated personality she is today. She is the main promoter of the "Beckham" brand however and if they split all that would go down the tubes.
