It's an iPhone selfie on the street.

For a photoshoot he gets made up, lit to flatter him and photographed with a lens that will capture him in a way to sell the ideal. And then the finished photos will receive some digital enhancement.

From what I gather he cutting down on modelling and is more interested in the behind the scenes aspect.

People get older. Skin wrinkles. hair falls thins/falls out. It doesn't hurt us to be realistic.
