He actually pulled it. I assume because many viewers -- particularly viewers or color -- thought it came across as incredibly narcissistic.
Unlike his dinner party where he gave space to people of color, this solo video, from what I recall, was him talking about the disadvantages of being an attractive white male, which to some seemed tone deaf at best and narcissistic at worst.
I recall it opened with "I was a cute kid and was good-looking all my life" or something similar.
There were several articles written abo it (side/personal note: the LGBTQ press is fairly homogenous) that highlighted some of the reactions.
I meant in re: to the fact that he and his clients fuck. I was one of his clients and that makes me uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure it's also illegal and could have his license revoked (at least the latter.) I stopped seeing him bc he charged too much and would always cut the sessions at 45 minute mark, even if we were talking about something important. I know most therapists do 45 minute sessions in general but most also extend their sessions by a few minutes just to massage a topic or conclude it thoughtfully. With him, it felt abrupt and curt. He also never really answered any calls or VMs until days later. Just a different experience from other folks I've worked with/friends I have who work in mental health.
But the fucking clients thing is brutal...
