I think the greater popularity on the web is the desire to do a performer in by a vocal segment of their base when the performer isn't doing what they're requesting, and in Diego case it's mainly due to the fact that he isn't willing to bottom.

I agree, some people get too caught up in demanding something that they can’t get. Personally I like that he is a primary top, I think the vibe he gives off plus his aversion to bottoming gives him something different. He’s been transparent about his disinterest in bottoming, and has made some attempts to appease the masses on his OF page by fucking himself with a didlo.
In scenes I don’t think he’s boring as much as I think he’s focused on the task at hand. No loud grunting or moaning, not changing positions every three minutes, just fucking.
