do you ever

I wonder if native asians who normally use nothing but chopsticks feel equally as silly if they use a fork or spoon or knife?

I feel brilliant eating with a spork! Come on, it's both a spoon AND a fork.

Congratulations on your 3000th post by the way.

I know that SARS made Asians very suddenly see the wisdom of serving spoons as being superior to everyone dipping in the communal pot with their chopsticks...

Benny Hill music OH CRAP!! Now that is sooo stuck in my head!
(bashes head against wall) Nope it is still there. ah nuts.

But seriously a spork is just a evolutionary result of society trying to ahm, I dunno - trying to spork us over?
I feel really sporked over now that I think about it.

Nope, I don't feel silly. I like sporks. If I could find regular utensil sized ones in metal I'd buy them. But I'm wierd  I've only ever found serving sized ones. I can be a pig sometimes, but not that big of a pig!

I like calling them runcible spoons just to confuse people.

Never heard a spork called a "foon" though.

it all depends on WHAT you are eating....

if its shoveling in some of that wonderful, yet....hell, wonderful KFC coleslaw...sure!

No if you are spooning a champaign sabayon over a fresh strawberries sorbet...THEN it gets...well dicey at best...

i can only eat certain foods with them. Corn is definately one of them, the spork makes it so much easier to scoop off the plate.

do you ever NOT feel stupid when you're eating with a spork?
I love sporks they're one of the best inventions ever. From that day in Junior High when I first saw and used one up until now, they are practical and now come in many colors, not just white.

Think about it-A spork can pierce several peas and then you can lob them at your enemy one at a time, removing them and placing them in the bowl before pulling back and letting it fly...much easier than continually returing to the plowl (the plate and bowl combo) for each pea.
