Do you fly under the gaydar where most people never suspect you are gay?

Or do most people suspect or have an inkling that you might be?

Have you passed as a straight guy all your life?

I guess yes. I tend to surprise people when they find out I'm bi. Despite being open about it, there's still people insanely shocked about it and word spreads, etc. A lot of my friends thought I was joking and pulling a prank when I told them. I've had a lot of people tell me about their feelings for gay people and I hear a lot of prejudice stuff until they find out I'm bi. I'm usually surprised when people are surprised I am because I feel I give off some vibes and sometimes may be obvious, but some people don't think so. Even girls I've hooked up with think I'm lying to them.

Everyone is under the impression I have relations with all kinds of girls lol so I say yes I'm so far under the radar I'm finding dinosaur bones

I've had coworkers be surprised that I am not married (to a female) and I just deflect questions. I work in a school so being out is not necessarily a good thing. My best friend still throws me shots about "settling down and finding a nice girl." Um, not bloody likely.

Being a 6'3" very deep voiced Scotsman who does not portray any flouncy queeniness in everyday circumstances has always 'hidden' my sexuality. It got so ridiculous at one point that I had to take my boyfriend to work with me to prove it to the doubters! LOL

Lol. More now than when I was younger.
In primary school I could reach Mariah Carey notes, so umm, yeah the voice seemed to take forever to beef up.

I'm not particularly 'gesturish' (effeminate) so, now I fall between the straight and bi section of the graph.

Have you passed as a straight guy all your life?

Have actually, inadvertently or whatever
think peoples perception was that they expected it to be so,
only as the years continued to mount they probably thought otherwise
Almost all friends never asked, seemingly waniting to believe otherwise
Who cares, i never thought it of importance to go out there and 'tell the world'
if they asked, i am always honest

lol , when I go to a gay bar, many times I get hit on by the girls in the club.

Unless they are out for widespread conversion therapy, that should tell ya something :wink::wink:

This had to be on my 34th Birthday, I was newly divorced, had a new job, new apt. and went to the Gay district to celebrate. It was one of my very first times going there so the novelty was there ect. Luckily, I was buzzed and went from the pool to the club. I get there and there is a beach theme going on. I enthusiastically pull my tank top off and am there in my swim trunks.

The club was very crowded. Soon I feel a pair of arms around my waist. My first time there and I was very excited. I felt the arms to see if I could recognize them or who they belonged to. The arms were thick and firm. I was really intrigued and couldn't resist a second longer, I turned around and it was a tall big boned chick. She was just having fun! But hey, I looked good enough to get an around the waist hug. We talked for awhile and shared a table. She tells me to go dance, when I come back her and some hot chick were French kissing! Oh well, it was all about fun!

I went home alone, I hadn't learned to be seductive or try to pick up anyone at this point in time. It was fun. I still never get lucky in the gay bars, it just don't happen. I am too clean cut, masculine, and conservative looking. I really think the guys don't think that I am or might be bi. The times I really did score, I have to be the initiator or talk to make it clear of what I am interested in.

I have a friend that I do talk to about things, I swear she thinks I am just trying to be fashionable or something trying to be bi. Oh well.

I do completely, as far as I know...considering that I'm not out.

It has never come up, at least. I guess you never really know what people are thinking, but won't say.
