It depends on the guy. For example, I have it lighter but other blonde guys I know have it darker.
There are blonde guys who are "dirty blondes". These are the blondes who have hair that is slightly yellow but not all the way yellow. It is almost ashy? Those guys will have pubes that are between black and yellow so brown.
Guys that have true blonde hair will have almost yellowish eyebrows and nearly white looking leg hairs. They will have blonde pubes.
I think whatever mutation makes red hair red, means that pubes and armpit are less dark.
If you want to know the color of a guys pubes, look at his eyebrows or his armpits. That will pretty much tell you exactly what they look like.
Some guys color their scalp and eyebrow hair so just know those are not always the best clues...

I've seen in person a few blond haired guys that have blond pubic hair. Some even have blond chest hair also.

as @hzs3fg said body hair including pubic hair is different to hair on your head - one you've had all your life and one comes with puberty - its very common for them to be different colours completely or at least different shades of the same colour

I can count on one hand out of thousands I've been with the mature natural light blonds I've been with. They are rare. In gay erotic fiction they are a third the population LOL. It has been so long I don't remember their pubes and porn blonds usually shave their pubes.
TBH I have only been with one guy who was blonde down below. Interestingly, eventhough he was a natural blonde, he bleached his hair so it was more whitish. He sometimes dyed it dark and also did highlights.
He had blonde chest hair.
I'm dark blond, I mean darkest blond you can get, where it looks dark when wet and has hair product in it, but I have blond fuzz all over my body and my pubes are a dirty blond colour, for that reason I shave because it looks better than the dirty blond fuzz. A fair few blond guys I've seen nude do the same.
Eumelanin is the chemical reason for blonds going darker with age. If I had it my way, I'd definitely would have preferred to the blond I was when I was younger.
Didn't know that. I have a gal pal who is 50 with pale blond hair, which is from my experience very very rare to see. You see the true ones very rarely in porn. One was a tall American about a decade ago who worked briefly at Belami with condoms. Gorgeous!!!!!!!! They also had Brady Jenson who was more of a dirty blond. I'm just dirty.
One of my grandfathers was pure blond right until he died, the family thought I was going to be the same, I am blond, yet just the darkest shade. You are right, it's really rare.
True blonde pubic hair is rare in both genders, but it does seem to be less common in guys for some reason; although admittedly I don't purposefully seek out images of guy bushes like I do women's, so it's just merely casual observation.
But I do know of the majority of the blonde women I have been with, they have either been dye jobs or if natural, have still been darker downstairs. Only in less than a handful, did the carpet match the drapes.
I can say with certainty that @Fishsqueezee69 's observation is quite correct in that the sure-fire way to know a real blonde is to ignore the head hair and look at the eyebrows, pit or might I add, leg hair; as this has been my experience with women.
If my wife was to never dye her hair again and let all the highlights grow out, anyone would swear she had natural brown hair, yet her eyebrows give away the fact she is a real blonde everywhere else (and as any pics of her on here prove). So I would definitely think the same would apply to men as well. So unless he dyes his eyebrows, they will give away the true color of the rest of his body hair.

You're right and do it under the sun or a really bright light as well. With my dark blond, the eyebrows, arm pits and body hair is where it's glaringly obvious.
I have noticed that as well with bright light as there have been times when the wife was either naked in direct lamplight or was sunbathing nude outside and her pubes are almost invisible, especially at a distance.
That happened with all six kids in our family. Blonde hair when young became dishwater blonde as we got older.
