im close minded because i was christian and ive had several gay relatives and friends commit suicide/attempt it because of the shame being gay brought while being christian. the MAJORITY of homophobic ppl in this country are religious, they are the reason so many gay kids kill themselves. its up to you if you wanna follow a fairytail cult that says being gay is an "abomination" - but ive seen the effects its had, which is why i left my church.
if religion didnt exist, i doubt homophobia would exist and its sad ppl will cast judgement simply because a book tells them to. no matter how you wanna spin it, religious ppl are homophobic, its not just christianity, its almost every major religion, the world would be better without it.
