Even when there isn’t war, basic training is a few months max, after which you’re either deployed or in the reserve.

Basics is 13 weeks. But that is just the start. There is always more training even if you just intend being a driver.

Dylan intends joining the Rangers, qualifying course is a year to a year and a half in addition to basics.
