Why do you feel belittled, I was actually being genuine (might be hard to read when it's all just words) but if you truly can't answer those questions, you should ask yourself why. Dylan has had the cocky, arrogant jock thing going on in spades since high school, and may as well be poster boy for it at this point. And while a personality type that, understandably, not all are attracted to, many of us are and finding it in one of our own is highly, and sexily enticing. Add to this that from his own acknowledgment he’s a bottom and you start to see many of the contradictions that make up his life - athlete/scholar, poet/douchebro, elitists/everyman, gay/hyper masculine, introvert/extrovert, and so on. I believe that these are the reasons he basically holds so much fascination and attention for so many of us, but it also gives him a love him or hate him dichotomy.
Case in point, here I am defending him, but I’m also usually here on every other day hate watching this thread too. I guess you could say he is many things, but rarely boring. That’s my take, I get the varied and extreme reactions, but I don’t always understand the haters who hang around forever when there are 10,000 or so other active threads to go play in if you don’t like it here.
