Bi- and pan- people frequently refer to themselves as gay, it’s a catchall term (like queer) as well as one which strictly means homosexual male. It’s like how lots of people often refer to the LGBTQ+ Community simply as “the gay community.” I think when Dylan refers to himself as gay it’s not some calculated move to pose as something he’s not; I really just think he’s lumping himself in with all guys who are not straight.

Plus his scamming and grifting - the $2000 fundraiser to start a vlog (which lasted how long?), the Disney trip scam he was involved in, and I'm sure some people can think of some more recent examples! Also, the defence of people like Bryan Singer. Him using the LGBT community to promote himself and yet giving nothing back, despite claiming he was an LGBT advocate for years on end. His inability to see beyond his own bubble (remember him telling people living in homophobic countries that they basically don't have more rights because they don't value themselves enough?).

So, no, it's hardly something the average person has done.

You truly are reaching for excuses to justify your irrational hatred for him. Who are you anyway to demand anything from someone who identifies themselves as a member of the LGBTQ+ community? There is no golden ticket you get once you pass some imaginary set of tests to finally become a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Despite what you may think. He didn't come out until his last year of high school so it's hasn't been that long either and even then he was living life as a straight teen with a girlfriend.
Apparently you seem to think some gay or bi men don't actually go through a stage when they identify themselves as straight complete with either a girlfriend or wife in some cases then begin their journey with their sexuality or identifying themselves.
Some gay or bi men take years or decades even to come to a realization of where they fit on a spectrum.

So who are you to judge anyone. Next thing you will say there is only gay or straight and nothing else.

I just got finished catching up on the last 100 or so pages of drama. I'm genuinely surprised that more people didn't expect the whole "bi" thing. There have been claims that Dylan is bi/pan for years. Several guys from his HS we're skeptical of Dylan because he (allegedly) slept with their sisters or female friends despite being out and getting headlines for publishing his poetry book. This was before he dated Grant Mower and even after they broke up.

But everyone stopped talking about it for a while when he dated Jackson's drama started. A few of the guys, and the girls, actually tried proving it in various places (mostly Tumblr or data lounge posts) but it kept getting taken down within hours to days. Some accounts even got banned.

I get why some are confused though because he certainly marketed himself one way, then claims something else on social media for years. But honestly, It's really nothing new for clout chasers. Personally, I don't really care what he is, I just love the tea.

He had girlfriends in school too but so what. When it comes to young people they go through a lot of self discovery and experimentation, that is nothing new to most people who may have done the same when they were young. The way some people behave here it's like they never heard of experimenting with your sexual identity or they have a very narrow view of sexuality and to them there is only straight or gay and nothing else. It's not unheard of either for people to go through a spectrum of identifying themselves until they decide on one that they feel fits them. There is a good reason why there are so many different types of Pride flags because there are so many definitions and some people do go from one definition to another until they find one that they feel is right for them.

Dylan is no different from many young people his age who experiment with their identity. You might call that chasing clout but that is your opinion and it's a narrow one at that.

You’re right there’s been rumors for years, even when he was dating Jackson that he was still hooking up with girls behind Jackson’s back but continued to tell the world he’s gay... that’s what some ppl are irritated with imo. He came out as pansexual "officially" if you will when he was with Jackson and when they both used to upload to YouNow on a regular basis people kept asking the same question about his sexuality and he would give the same answer that he was pansexual. But then again it was only a year or two from when he was first came out to his friends and family.

This obsession with Dylan and his journey through the definitions of his own LGBTQ+ identity is bizarre to say the least.
But I think it's getting more obvious here that the real issue is with some who don't believe there really is a spectrum with many definitions within the LGBT+ community that people identify themselves with when it comes to their sexual identity or gender identity. In other words there is only straight or gay and nothing else so this is why you see some continue to attack him.
