That’s more the exception than the rule, though. I’ve had two friends who’ve done it, and usually it’s stuff like their rent being paid, trips and dinners, clothes, maybe jewelry, etc. Occasionally a car, but that’s even uncommon.
I mean if you're good you know how to work the daddy. Those guys obviously only cared about surface things and likely wanted to show off for friends.

It's not really about them being individually interesting or not. There are/were a lot of obsessive parasocial fans (mainly girls) who just became infatuated with "Jylan" as a concept and couple and maybe some just can't let that go
