What few songs I do like, Dylan NEVER sounds as good live as he does in studio recordings, which is barely serviceable as it is.

Or you just have a bias towards higher voices so a deeper and more mature sounding voice doesn’t work for you. I personally think he sounds quite stable live. You don’t have to always sound like the studio recording of a song because nobody is perfect
