Is that pre - accident? I'm sure I read that he doesn't shave now because of scarring on his face. Although, if that is the case and the scarring is that bad, how would the facial hair grow? A good friend of mine had surgeries to their head as a baby, and whilst they still managed to grow a full head of hair, it stopped in their 20's, so maby it doesn't stop one's follicle (right word/spelling?) ability straight away?

after the accident he was m.i.a. for a long time, when he was finally spotted out and about, he had a full beard, like from growing the facial hair and not being capable of properly shaving while his face healed. he's had facial hair numerous times over the years
