The difference is that he's clearly shy and more subdued in the dating video as opposed to his youtube videos where he's more comfortable, and expressive. So of course his voice and demeanor is going to reflect that. I honestly don't even hear that much of a difference. He's just not as animated as he his in his youtube videos.
he made a video reacting to himself on there. prefaces by saying that he was kinda uncomfortable because he was out of his comfort zone. his comfort zone being the room he makes videos in.
they decided because he reviews movies/shows that the girls' intro cards should be about that, and he hasn't heard or seen most of the stuff the girls picked, which made the interview stuff way more awkward because he just didn't know where to take things because he doesn't really understand what's being referenced. like, it feels like every movie and show reference the girls made his response was always "haven't seen it".
he didn't feel too comfortable hugging the girls, if he doesn't know someone he doesn't really like hugging them, he was planning on just shaking their hand, but the girls went for hugs.
he didn't go into it looking for a connection, he went purely for the sake of making content, but feels bad because he think maybe the girls were actually looking for a connection with the guy and he might've been the only one who didn't care about that. some of the girls actually knew who he was and had watched his videos. he picked the girl that likes rapunzel, which is funny since dylan's audience makes flynn ryder jokes about him a lot

Honestly he sounds like a total wet blanket. And that weirdly tracks for me, I bet he's pretty miz to be around and awkward.
