Thank you for saying this, I followed him for years before and really liked his and Mark's refreshing midwestern edge that other gay LA youtubers did not have. I felt like checking into his Youtube channel as I was viewing a few and saw he uploaded a video. I was shocked to see he bought a farm and that he was doing OF! He seemed more on the shy, reluctant and even christian side. Just goes to show you. Almost feel like it has to do with the increase in online platforms and the fact he started so young maybe thought this was his avenue.I'm sure I've said it before, but even now I'm still kind of shocked that he went this route. I never would have expected it during the height of Methan's popularity. I kinda felt like he was sometimes uncomfortable on cam. That could just be me, though

I see it as how little we actually know about these people, even when they are "Real Life Vloggers".
The Ethan we saw with Mark was just a fictional character, not the real Ethan. The one we see in porn is just another new character.
I think it's a bit jaded to only assume these are all characters? True, they could be characters. But they could also be different aspects of the same person. It's also possible he's changing as a person, with each phase of life presenting a different self.
Or maybe a little of all three!

the thing that I will probably never understand is that how one can ditch perfectly healthy relationship with a 10/10 kind and sweet guy and become a slut on OF
it's been like 5 years and I still can't wrap my head around it
of course we do not know if Mark and Ethan had healthy relationship and we do not know who they are as people, but damn...from the outside it really looked like they were just a normal ordinary gay couple

both Mark & Ethan were role models for a healthy gay relationship when I was growing up, so it just makes question all of this
I think Ethan was always holding back because he was with Mark and on YouTube. Once he broke free, he was able to live how he wanted to. I don’t think it’s a case of “going off the rails”.
but why "breaking free" and living how you want is in most cases showing hole on the internet? is this the ultimate freedom one can achieve?

.I don't think he ditched Mark I think they grew up and apart. It's hard to make high school sweetheart type relationships work and probably 500x harder when you're gay in the middle of bumfuck Indiana.
He's not the first person let alone, gay man to do it. I mean it might just be a canon event for the attractive people who grew up in conservative areas, just a theory.
Not all but a lot of the Insta, Tumblr, and YouTube gays we (millenials) followed in our late teens-early 20s are doing sex work now. Ethan, Daveywavey, Yesbrawn, RJ, etc.
