I’ve watched their vids here and there over the years and people were pretty mean to Ethan in the comments. Early on Mark definitely projected this masc bro vibe and Ethan wasn’t as traditionally masculine. There were a lot of “Mark can do better” comments and that was probably really hard to see over and over. Ethan seems to be more at peace now. Mark’s videos recently are sort of bleak. As someone who watched them over the years, my pure speculation from what I saw was that Mark was head over heels in love with Ethan. I don't think it was truly reciprocated on Ethan's end.
