Ethan seems like an asshole to me. He always has. I’m not saying Mark is perfect. He’s pretty boring; however, I would love boring, loyal and consistent. The gay dating scene is a nightmare. Ethan won the dating lottery and never appreciated it. Honestly, Ethan has always seemed unhappy with everything. i think a lot of people think "haters" are just trolls in comment sections. they think that a thread dedicated to a person is just for the sake of kissing up to them. when in reality that's what comment sections are for. you want a place that's just ass kissing with 0 criticism, go to the comment section, that's where those type of people usually are. also try a see if they have a subreddit. youtuber's with subreddits usually have just asskissers on it, and any proper criticism gets deleted by mods.
and i also think that because this is an adult site, people expect it to just be porn and adulation. they don't consider that a porn space can also be a place for discussion and criticism.
they basically see these places as if they were fan pages and anything that isn't just adoration and sexualization doesn't belong in it.
