I don't think Riff is straight at all. In this interview he describes his partner using male pronouns, and when the interviewer asks him what kind of men he likes, he answers quite freely. I guess it could be a mistranslation, or he could be flat-out lying, but I've always taken him to be one of the gayer models, even if he is mostly a top.
Entirely agreed about wanting to see him with Ethan though.
