Why not to take it national and provide a link for any group that deals with monitoring hate organizations? Foward it to GLAAD and any other groups and publications that inform the gay community.

Whoever this was sent a powerful message. Thank you.

Looking at how things are moving fast I think it will be gone pretty soon. If not though I will surely do that CS. Good suggestion thanks.

They reality of this situation is that there are ALOT of people that HATE fags. Not really sure you can stop their actions. But trying doesnt hurt.

The facebook group in question is not anyone excercising free speech, the formation of a group is tantamount to a campaign. This is one step beyond. It is freedom of speech to press the report button (i did'nt, choosing instead to join and comment). If Facebook chooses to remove the group it would be for good reason, the same reason that has equality laws all over the world in relation to whatever minority is applicable.

Would you have taken the stance that during appartheid that black people should respect the views of whites? Free speech exists for the benefit of the press and for government opposition more so than the average Joe, it does not exist so that narrow-minded toss-pots can spout bollocks and spread hatred.

HazelGod...I too think that freedom of speech is an important right that we have. But all rights have to balanced against responsibilities to other people. How about if someone on LPSG started a hate thread against straight white men? I wouldn't think that was OK either, and I wouldn't want to see it stand under the justification of free speech.
