What about just black? How long does it take?
It’s impossible to say. It depends on the nature of your own skin. Sun exposure. Placement. Quality of the tattoo and many other reasons. I’ve seen some that look good after 50 years and some look like shit after 5.

If you really want one, get it. Ask around and find a high quality artist. It will be with you forever so don’t go trendy. It should say something about you.

Thanks for the reply.

I have one already, that's why I was asking.

Just solid black and it doesn't get much sun exposure at all.

Guess I have to accept it will be with me forever as you say...

There are methods to remove them if that’s the underlying motive for your question.
It’s outside my knowledge but as I understand it a “solid” black is easier to remove than some colors.

Get a referral from your PCP to the best dermatologist in your area. Let them point you towards the appropriate health care provider.

This is not the time to shop around for the best price. Find someone who has done this before, even if it means driving far away to a large city.

Thanks, does it cost a lot? I don't have any money just now.

You might find a clever artist to add 2 F symbols with the 4 rings interlinked so you advertise mixed doubles, cheaper than removal, or you could add 2 F symbols on the other side, which would confuse everyone. Removal is not always 100% so you might need some cover up ink as well, tiger face, a single rose or a coiled snake are good camouflage ideas. Most important is that whatever you end up with this time its for L I F E

If you can be out as somewhere on the Bi spectrum before its time to go upstairs with a female that tattoo should be no problem, Best answer is go fuck your brains out every which way so you are sure who you are then get your tat (s) fixed to suit

There are products to slow fading. Like you said sun exposure is a big one so avoiding that should help a lot.
