Uncircumcised men are usually advised to retract their foreskin before peeing. The "degree" or type of retraction of the skin can vary: there are those who uncover the entire glans and there are those who exhibit only the tip of the glans. Essentially, this suggestion is given for two reasons.
A) Peeing with the glans covered involves theoretically the risk that residual drops of urine remain inside the foreskin. In addition to the possibility that, once the penis is repositioned in underwear, they partially come out and wet the briefs or boxers, this is not very hygienic since it makes it possible to leave the glans too moist and can also feed the production of bad smells.
B) Urinating without retracting the foreskin can also create a further drawback. In fact, the flow of urine, after being emitted from the meatus and before ending up, for example, in the toilet, must cross the foreskin in its entire length. This causes a possible uncontrollability of the pee stream (in the sense that it is not linear, but larger and sometimes doubled) with the risk of splashing excessively and everywhere.
As can be seen, it being understood that everyone does as they prefer and there is obviously no obligation, peeing with the glans exposed is theoretically better. In any case, it would be sufficient to uncover only the urinary meatus located in the tip of the glans. However, you can also urinate through the foreskin, without having those small problems mentioned above, using some simple precautions:
1) To overcome the drawbacks mentioned in letter "A", it would be enough, once the urination is finished, to do three things. Slightly shake the penis, retract and return the foreskin to its original position several times (such as the movement of masturbation, so as to "squeeze" the flaccid penis) and if possible dry the glans with a piece of toilet paper.
2) To resolve any problems mentioned in letter "B", it would be enough to pee sitting or in any case aiming and centering, if you urinate in a bathroom, the water present in the bottom of the toilet. Of course, if you are outdoors the question of paying attention to the splashes does not arise, but in any case the theme indicated in the letter "A" is always present.
