Do you guys think there is a chance for a comeback of G Magazine?
It's Brazil's and in today's economy, who knows. Maybe they are some straight celebs who won't mind to do frontal and erection left. Other than fashion mags, porn mags almost don't exist anymore. Unless they know how to attract consumers to spend their money for digital mags, I highly doubt we will see a comeback. Brazil is a poor country, not many people own credit cards there.

The main purpose of G Magazine was to have known celebrities naked with full erection.
They bet on launching the magazine in a totally unknown and new market in the 90s and the target was for gay audience (differently as Playgirl).
As Brazil was a very catholic county at that time and many celebrities rejected their offer specially to be naked and hard for a gay magazine, it was very hard to convience them to posed, even with a good money in their pockets.
I will say that the main changes or boom of the magazine started when Vampeta (a very known soccer player at that time) accepted their offer, and then Mateus Carrieri (who took the photos in 1997 and asked to the magazine editor to hold the publish later on in 1998 as he was filming a soap opera for kids) and then Alexandre Frota (a very known actor as well). Some years past and some others not very known celebrities get the courage and accept this new challengue and the magazine becomes to be more popular and respectul.
There were main problems during the 2000s, as others celebrities took photos naked but they were never published, as they regretted for some reason (example: Henri Castelli), or wants a very high amount of money that the magazine could afford, but the sales expectantion was a totally failure (like Roger from Ultraje a Rigor) and they became to loose money fast.
Some other minor issue was when they tried to expand the market to Argentina, but never translated the magazine to Spanish and I would say that the main issue was piracy/forgery starting in 2006/7, where at that time you could access G magazine website, download the photos and share with your friends by email or personal websites. As no income entering with the sales as at the beging of 2000, magazine was getting very bad until almost get bank corruption and was sold. As you know, the new editor could not get the main purpose of the magazine and started to get regular non-known models/go go boys to be cover or got some photos from other editors from US/Europe and did not work.
These were some examples why G magazine is not alive today, not because Brazil is a poor country or people do not have credit cards, that someone mentioned before.
Additionally, others magazines were released like G, but no celebrity or no nudity. One of the big examples was "Intima" and later on called "Intima e pessoal". Some famous actors like Raul Gazolla and Humberto Martins got the courage to be naked, but not showing their cocks, just ass.
Humberto was called again to be cover of the magazine later on, as main reader want to see him naked (he mentioned in some interviews/podcasts) but as the main purporse of the magazine was not erection, he was naked but soft. The magazine closed because no other celebrities accepted their offer to be naked (soft dick).
