Gayhoopla Announcment - No More Hardcore Scenes

Subscribers will be able to view model applications and vote for their favorites. Models with the most votes get invited to do a solo scene. No more M/M scenes. Just solos.

I don't blame them and am happy they are finally moving forward as a company.
There heart was never in the gay porn industry. It was always bad. I do wish they would just focus more on the girls and leave it be.

The audacity they have to announce this as an 'upgrade' tells people everything they need to know. It's kind of funny to see some of their long-time supporters turning their back on them, though. Also, they might need to change the name of the site, because there will be nothing gay about it anymore. These guys are the worst thing to have happened in gay porn in this century, even MEN.com has more decency than these scammers.

This might actually stand a small chance at working....*if* they had attractive models. Unfortunately, they don't and haven't for a while.
I'm not sure if they are expecting this to bump up sales, but if they are, I think they are going to be sorely disappointed.
I can't say that I pull out GH scenes of my collection very often, but dare I say they've had more successes than some realize: They've had Jeremy Barker, Jayden Marcos, Blake Michaels, Troy Daniels, Canelo Ment, Kyle Dean, Philip Anadarko and a whole host of others. Their photosets were actually the best I've ever encountered and I love that they had the models frequently smiling in the pics.
With that aside, GH never was really able to bump up to the next level. It's more of a mid-card site and not a half-bad one at that, but they haven't had anything exciting in perhaps years. Maybe it will come back from the dead at some point. Randy Blue did. Or then again, maybe it won't.

GH had some great models... before they went bareback. When they started pumping out bareback scenes and it became apparent the vasty majority of the models who were actually worth looking at on their roster weren't doing bareback scenes they were dead in the water
it didn't help their supposed toxic environment towards gays and not hiring actual gays for their content. Same with SC few years ago.

I don’t remember ever liking a GH video. Everyone looked like they were drugged. I liked one BGF video and it was the 4 way. HGF is probably the best in terms of production value so they should stick to that.

Def not gonna be enough for me to consider subscribing to GH, but as a side, I do actually prefer solo vids. Might check out how hot their models will be.

I don't understand why they didn't just shut down the Gayhoopla site once that decided to end all guy on guy content. Who is paying a monthly subscription to watch models do nothing but jerk off, especially in an era where you can probably see the same guys jerking off on Onlyfans? Even at its worst, Gayhoopla still had a pretty decent roster of good looking models, and it was more racially diverse than sites like Sean Cody, Corbin Fisher, or most other studios. You actually got some sexy black and brown models who you couldn't see anywhere else unlike the white guys who will be on several different sites at the same time nowadays.
It would have made more sense in my opinion for them to keep Gayhoopla focused on actual gay sex and dissolving HotGuysFuck instead. I say that because no matter how they spin it, the latter is just yet another straight porn site. There are countless other sites just like it for anyone who wants to watch. I assume they no longer update the BiGuysFuck site as well, which always felt like an unnecessary extension of Gayhoopla anyway. Kind of like Corbin Fisher's Amateur College Sex. The porn company that owns HGF/GH is owned by a few former Fratmen.TV/Frathouse models who banded together and decided to put up their own site/s to apply what they'd learned from years of working with Fratmen before it eventually went kaput also. And what they learned included the what NOT to do as well as the right steps in order to avoid the same fate. Yeah, they are straight. And just like the site they came from as well as the old/OG SC company (which actually featured straight porn scenes in the very beginning), CF, ND, SG4GE/JC and many other derivatives, copycats, etc that mostly arose from the early to late 00s were all geared towards "hot straight guys for a gay audience" fetish model. The guys either did straight porn for gays/women or G4P porn, which I'm not into because it's ultimately fake even if they're enjoying the sex while doing it. Some did both.
So for those who aren't into that kind of fetish, there are a thousand other gay porn sites that are already catering to them. Why force other people into what you're into but they're not? If the reverse were done on them, who also happen to form the vast majority (i.e. power) of the community, there'll be widespread outcries and protests, maybe even a lawsuit targeted towards the Supreme Court. Lol I exaggerate, of course, but stranger things have happened like with the wedding cake baker case in Colorado, whose SC outcome, BTW, I agree with under the same reasoning. First of all, why even give them your money when there are hundreds of others who are even better/cheaper/no drama, including gays of course and Christian conservatives who respect and don't think and act the same way towards LGBTQ+ people? So they don't like you, they don't cater to your needs and desires? Leave them and certainly don't give them your money. But second and more importantly (outside of their being a business), it should be no one's right to be able to force businesses or anyone esle to do anything they're not comfortable with, just as we in the LGBTQ+ should also have the right to decline if, for example, a militant, homophobic MAGA couple wanted flower arrangements for their own wedding from (the town's only) flower shop that is owned by a gay couple they've been attacking and shaming on social media. If we want the same right to be able to say yes or no, everyone else should also have the same freedom. Denying them the right to decline our business ALSO means that we can be denied the same right or privilege to decline even if we do have all the right reasons to do so.
I subscribe to the HGF site because they're basically the only one left that still actively produces new "SG4GE" kind of porn, that is straight porn that's focused on the guy. And it's the one that has become their monster success out of the 4 sites they had (now 5). It makes complete sense to focus instead solely on what actually worked for them and make their loyal customers happiER and leave the ones that are just bleeding cash to the side. Again, the fetish is on straight studs for all of the sites no matter their target audience (i.e. gay or straight, which include some females). Turning them into just regular gay sites defeats their very purpose. The point is to ENTICE STRAIGHT GUYS INTO DOING WHAT THEY NORMALLY WOULDN'T BE, EVEN IF ITS JUST FOR ONCE. They're not supposed to be expected to like it, at least not right away. The discomfort or unease (if any) is part of the whole scene. Otherwise, there's no point LOL. That's what those who "get it" like as part of the fetish. (Though, not me personally. I've never even joined GH.) So if you want them to just be gay and just enjoy the gay sex, you're on the wrong site. LMAO! Now, if just you're not into that, it's all good. You don't have to spend any more time and money on them. Just like I don't on the ones I'm not into either. I just leave them be to those who do enjoy them.
As for not shutting down GH, I guess it's for the brand new customers or the curious with the fetish who have only discovered them now or will in the future. Just like the sites for SG4GE, NDH and the CF ACS (renamed into "CollegeFucks" or something) all still exist for subscription without any new content updates anymore. They'll probably only pay for 1 to 3 months before they move on. A lot of people actually FORGET about their subscriptions along with Netflix, Hulu, etc. Lol. If you're the site owner, you'd be absolutely stupid not to tap that easy money.
Yeah, no shit. But porn environment usually (if studios aren't cheap) have a rigorous testing environment that minimize risk. In fact, the no testing, but use condoms route that Gayhoopla/HotguysFuck used to do is vastly riskier. Plus Prep, Doxy and all that further makes it easier.
Yeah, they have been testing and doing bareback at HGF for years now. But there's clearly a reason why people who do vaginal sex in general are much less concerned about condom use than those who do anal, tested or not, especially when tests have a WINDOW PERIOD of uncertainty even if the result was negative.
