i don't know, i just started the craigslist thing a few weeks ago and have met some perfectly nice guys. one or two creeps, but that tends to happen only on the blow and go situation. i find that if you meet first and talk for a bit, whether in a bar, coffee shop or your apartment, that it's a much better experience. at least for me.
of course i live in a small university town and have had the best experiences with younger - much too young but mid-20's - guys.
my only advice is to back out immediately if it doesn't feel right.

You're getting some good feedback here. It's real hit-or-miss with CL. Some good guys ... some weird ones ... many who will just flake out on you and waste your time.

It works great if you are just looking for a quick blow. Ask for pics get a phone number and meet at a public place first at the very minimum ask him to meet you outside your house. Safe sex is a must!
My experience w/c-list has been probably about 30% good, 50 % so-so, and 20%, I extricated myself asap. In all, not a great success ratio but I understand why people keep trying: 'cause it's easy.

craigslist is awful if you use it you will wake up in a tub full of ice without your liver!
I think CL is losing its appeal. Years ago I met a few folks on there, no issues at all. However, I have read of robbery scams where a person is lured to sex only to get rolled. The meet in an open, public place is a good one for any "meating" site.
