Full time commando here! I only wear boxer briefs for dress occasions (church or weddings, etc) when I'm not comfortable showing my pronounced bulge. Dress slacks leave nothing to the imagination, as I've been told by a few guys at work, were I Do go commando! I Love the feeling of freedom and comfort by going commando and it's fun too! I've had quite a few situations where I find guys checking me out or sneaking peeks at the urinal, etc.
First time advice to transition from wearing underwear to going nude under your pants. I recommend wearing loose boxer briefs for a while and maybe even boxer shorts to help you get used to the freedom from restraints. If you're really concerned about random boners and erections caused by the lack of underwear.. try going commando at home only then gradually add "public" commando appearances to see how your cock behaves. The only other issue I can think of is light colored slacks or shorts.. khakis especially.. if you dribble after a piss or like me have a long foreskin, you want to watch you don't have drip spots that show through. Shake well or pull your foreskin back before pissing. Also I learned the hard way when I went to a summer party. I wore white slacks and although not tight my bulge was very pronounced when I would sit down but not a big issue until someone accidentally spilled their white wine on my crotch. Needless to say.. thin white linen pants when wet.. well let's just say I'm glad a friend lended me his spare jeans because you could see everything!! My pubes, foreskin.. everything was on display! Lol so Darker slack are best unless it's an "adult type" party. One more thing, in thin silky material shorts or pants and mesh basketball shorts.. be prepared as when freeballing it will be obvious in that material. I enjoy the looks and even get off on the way my meat swings free in that silky material but it's another one you have to watch out for spontaneous erections. Hope all this helps.
Other than that.. GO for it! There is nothing more liberating and comfortable than letting your balls hang free in pants and your dick hang down whichever leg side you prefer. Have fun!!
One of the reasons I go commando is no matter what underwear I'm wearing. The back side elastic creeps downward. This is bothersome and I have to reach back there and pull up the waistband. So that problem is solved by not wearing underwear.
I only really go/stay commando when I'm at home (i know ill be home all day etc)

I have gone commando over the past 19 years or so at random. Since I trim or shave down there it can be a problem for irritation when sweating.
I never wear underwear when wearing PJs. Shorts are fun but I just have to make sure I am not showing anything I don't want to.

Went commando yesterday, as it was too hot to wear underwear...
I don't see how guys can wear boxer underwear especially in the summer. Way too much cloth for a pair of underwear. When I do wear them i want the smallest amount of cloth to wear. That's why I wear bikini underwear when I wear underwear.

The only problem I have is if the pants have a fly/zipper it can rub on your dick
Weekends and weekday evenings almost always commando, during the workday almost never commando..... I need to fix that
Sometimes a zipper will work itself down and you may not notice. I have a pair of trousers that do that. I'm periodically checking my zipper.Just don't forget to zip up after taking a whiz.
