Puppies were born today. A dog I know and love became a new momma for the first time today. I am adopting a puppy. I could *not* be happier. I haven't been emotionally prepared for another dog since my sweet, wonderful Samson passed last November. It's almost a whole year later, and I'm finally ready to be a doggo-momma again.

All the fucking feels today.

In my good news, the pup is already signaling to go out when he needs to do his business. He's 100% on the training pads if he can't make it.

This means I can run around barefoot without my glasses again!

Mucho major CONGRATS to @Tight_N_Juicy and @MickeyLee on their new family members. Woot woot to ya both! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tad jealous, but in the very best way!

I'm living through new puppylife vicariously through my PT and his wife. Female golden retriever, 15 weeks old. Cute as all get out. I see Goldy four days a week when I'm working out. I swear she's bigger each time I see her.

They're socializing her with all new clients, and she's turning into quite the lovebug. Like @MickeyLee's new baby, this one potty trained quickly; she goes to the door and rings the bell on the door. And sits patiently until someone takes her out. Too damn cute to see.

They recently shot video of her on the treadmill (not turned on) walking in place while staring at herself in the mirror. Then she morphed into "get the dog in the mirror" and all cuteness broke out!

Makes me want a pup now but not sure how my old man (the dog, not the hubby) would adapt. Hubby's all about the pet menagerie. I'm the one who has to exercise some restraint, but damn, it ain't always easy!

One dog, three cats, two parakeets. We are so lucky to have these animals in our lives that we love and love us so unconditionally. It's about as pure as love can get, IMO.

And, one last thing...Thanks TnJ for another perceptive thread. You seem to have a knack for right thread/right time. Props!

Well the good news is my sister didn't get arrested for drunk driving.

The bad news is her car is totaled.

I just had to go pick her ass up in downtown because she rear ended a guy. And she had had a couple drinks.

The cop was really nice, took me aside and said "normally your sister would be going to jail for a DUI right now, but just please get her home"

I have no clue why they took pity on her but I'm so grateful.

Buff-n-fluff was the first thing that came to mind when he told me he is almost positive the dad is the husky from down the road... Momma is a blue-pittie.

I'm waiting for the new momma to be more comfortable around people, she's very defensive at this point and sticking a camera in her business seems rude to me. She will let me know when she's ready for photos, and I will definitely share

Cold weather has arrived, which means I can exercise for extended periods without getting overheated.

(Not quite as good as puppies, I know - but it's the best news I have. )

We are keeping 2 pups.

We couldn't not keep two.

My last two dogs were both boys. Had them their whole lives. Now I will have two sweet little girls. Here's to long, healthy, happy lives with us
