A lot are just fishing for pics to jerk off too or looking for pics to catfish other guys with. Watch out when you send people pics. I don't like generalizing too much but in this case a lot of guys on grindr are superficial losers that believe they are better everyone. The vitriol and rudeness that goes on there is just plain disgusting.

yeah catfishing is a big thing it's happened to me when you see a profile with no pics asking for pics don't do it. If they can't even put up a torso pic or something like that most of the time they are a waste of time and not serious about meeting.

Blank profiles are never anything but bad news in my experience. It's a like a red flag warning you it's going to be a level of crazy from closet case to silence of the lambs. Just don't bother with them

Grindr is a horrible , vile app and I hate myself for using it. Its a mixture of boredom and loneliness. I've never met anyone on there. Sometimes its hot to trade and talk dirty. But for the most part , I wish I had a reason to delete it

Oh I've stopped being so free and eager to hand out pics. Where I live there isn't much of a scene and Grindr sort of keeps me updated on local gays. But it just a soulless , vacuous app. From getting dick pics from guys in their 50s to the sexually confused guys who just want someone to talk them into cumming.
I think I'm just tired of being single and see these apps as some sort of quick fix

Well I was hit on on Grindr 6 weeks ago - Chatted with the guy for about a week or so - wasent a normal swop pics kinda chat in the first instance, Met up a week after that and became buddies and now are in a monogamous relationship. So there are Gems out there you just need to be very guarded and selective. TAV - Have some hope and thanks for the chats along the way

Lol. I get what you're saying. But I also get what he's saying. Back when I was more on hookup apps I would often get dick picks from middle aged men, no face pic, not particularly attractive looking, in the form of one fragment of broken English. That kind of thing was far from appealing. On the other hand there were a handful of really attractive men in their 40's and 50's whom I wish had responded to me.
They are pic hunters. They are just there getting men to send naked pics to either jack off or repost. Best thing to do is ignore and block them as soon as you see them. I got a lot of men doing this when I was on Grindr, I also got a few good hook ups too!

I've never used any of the apps (Grindr/Scruff/Growlr). I guess I'm glad for being old school. I've even dropped off sites like Craigslist and A4A. For the most part, it seems like the same group of people just cycling through.
