gym showers

Was at the gym last night and often wonder about why these guys would only shower in there gym clothes. I for one am totally naked showering there was a father and 3 sons and the only one was the father naked getting clean. he was telling his sons to get rid of the gym clothes and shower like men.
Do any of you guys know why certain guys will not take it all off shower with the rest of us in the natural state?

couple possible explanations
1-homophobia (fear of being sexualized by another man)
2-excessive self-consciousness about physique due to more mass media images of buff guys
3-paranoia about their cock size
