Nope. I think it’s a fair bit inconsiderate to leave semen all over the pool or steam room, but morality isn’t my point. That most of what has been said strikes me as made up fantasy bullshit is my point. Other people can invent reasons for what I have said, but that is my point from begging to end, period.
Can attest to this 100% as I too belong to a “non gay gym”. More of a mixed crowd and I have seen plenty of the same cruising, sneak grabs and enticing in the locker room/shower/sauna/steam rooms. It happens at just about all gyms.
And most of what you have said strikes me as the rantings of a negative, angry man who is unwilling or unable to listen to what other people have to say.

I have been in many gyms in my life and I have gotten to play in many of them as well. In the few that had communal showers it was basically a split between embarrassed guys trying to face the wall and not make eye contact and guys like me content to show off and cruise/be cruised. Nothing sexual ever happened in them though I wound up having sex with a guy afterwards. Here in the Bible Belt the gyms tend towards the individual stalls with a curtain. I have had sex in those many times and jerked off with the curtain partially opened for the the guy in the stall across from me.

While I have never seen raging, skyward pointing hardons in the communal showers (I usually shower with dozens of other guys several times a week), I have seen lots of semis and chubbed up myself now and again.

Honestly, I've never been in a gym where it didn't happen and that includes Ballys,Gold's, LA Fitness and even local stuff like Raleigh's Beyond Fitness and Chattanooga's Sports Barn locations. I've even had sex in the locker room in Workout anytime at 11:30 at night. Guys are always horny and cruising and I know this so I stay naked as much as I can in the locker room and wear gym shorts that you can see what I'm packing flop around when in them. It doesn't happen every time I lift (4 times a week), but it has happened.
There are three instances I can think of off the top of my head where I've seen guys with hard ons in the gym, all with open showers. The first was at uni. I noticed that a guy at the far side seemed to be watching me very closely as I washed. I left the shower, dried off and was getting dressed. He came out of the shower with his towel around him and sat down at a locker in the same row as mine, but a few along, and was drying off there. I walked past him on the way out and he had a hard on pointing down beside his leg. Quite a nice cock. At a guess about six inches, straight and cut from what I can remember. I appreciate your answer. Thank you. I do not, however, appreciate the notion that you echoed by saying guys just gotta be guys. Maybe one day I’ll wrap my head around impulse resulting in action or behaviour. I haven’t yet, though. Perhaps that’s why I’ve only gotten dates at the gym instead of random sex and simple exercise.

Tim Allen famously said "Women need a reason to have sex. Men just need a place." I've found that to be totally true given the many places I have engaged with another guy(s). The gym is no exception. It's not something that happens frequently, but it happens.
Anyone know of pools/gyms in Toronto with open showers?
Ontario is still in phase one openings only. I believe gyms and pools are going to be phase three. The way things are going, that might not be until August or September.
