Yeah there really aren't enough roles for handsome young British men out there anymore. Tough times.
"clasically good looking sis straight white male" are truly the most oppressed these days and definitely out of work in 2023. Darn woke Hollywood :scream:

real talk though, he's very good looking, and he's well-connected, being the BFF of Tom Holland and all. He's had 2 roles of any substance (thinking here of Catch-22 and The Irregulars). If he hasn't gotten anything since then perhaps its because he's just had some bad luck, or because he's just not that great of an actor. Maybe he should try going for villain roles? Those icy-blue eyes are excellent for villains. Not a reflection on his character of course, but a quick glance at him gives off evil arrogant prince vibes

yeah, that's the thing, he can easily book roles with just his looks. he'd fit perfectly in pretty much any netflix show, because a lot of the times the acting in those shows isn't exactly the best either. he could land a gig in bridgerton or a role in shadow and bone, or the witcher, he could even land a role playing an older sibling in heartstopper. all these shows film in europe, so he wouldn't be too far away from home.
there's plenty of opportunities for him to have roles. either he's just not auditioning or he's flopping at every audition he goes to

Look, I get it… I wasn‘t at all trying to make any sort of “woe is he!” sentimentality or suggest “they took r jerbs!” level ignorance… not sympathizing with him or the “plight” of handsome white actors.

Woke is a charged word, and I probably shouldn’t have introduced it, but pretending that diversity casting doesn’t exist and MAY impact some of the availability of roles for him isn’t a commentary on society or a condemnation, it’s simply a suggestion of a plausible reason or contributing factor why he in particular might not be getting more roles.

All plausible! Does make you wonder if his auditions are really that bad or if all goes out for is “handsome prince” type of roles. Is there such a thing as too handsome? Maybe he gets type cast as “aristocratic” looking and can’t land regular Joe sidekick or best friend roles.

It's not like he has nothing booked. He was filming last year in Europe and a quick search of his IMDB shows its The Phoebus Files, including a pictures.

Yes, it's not a massive role I don't guess. But we are acting like he's failing totally.
True. Plus, he seems to get plenty of modeling gigs.

Maybe it’s just his proximity to such a huge star like Tom that creates bigger hype or expectation, but that’s probably an unfair comparison since Haz is more representative of a typical working actor than a breakout global star like Tom.
