I think it worked in DWD because he was hiding something all the way through. You knew he was, so his performance as someone whose main characteristic was deceit worked OK.
I don't think its impossible that he will improve. He's thrown himself into way more complex roles than he probably should have for a movie career.
Still, as I said elsewhere, you're not a proper pop star until you've made some lousy movies
Yes he will. A bigger star gets more investment and a larger budget. They know Harry has enough uber fans who would go to see him in any old shit.

Ross Lynch is a good musician though. I feel like the problem is that the first big roles Harry got was playing very complex and dramatic characters, so maybe it was more than he could manage. If he was like in a romcom maybe critics wouldn't have been so harsh on him. I dont think Harry is serious about acting. It seems like a vanity project. For him to be good at acting he would have to invest time in learning the craft which he doesnt have with his very full schedule. He is nit a trained actor. As long as he makes good music, I am happy. I dont care much for his films.

He can only improve to be fair. But might be better to stick to more light-hearted roles like a further stint in the MCU until the craft improves.

He really isn't a good singer, and his material is meh. Its all very below average at best. Which is why the only discussion you ever hear about his band is how hot he looks on stage. People talk about Harry's music *and* how hot he looks on stage.
He was, however, pretty fucking incredible in My Friend Dahmer and he is by far a better actor than he is a musician/singer/songwriter.

i would not attend a Halloween show. I would rather get Harry dressed as Harry and not cosplaying while singing his songs. He looked hot other night.
I will say that harrys acting in my policeman was better than in don't worry darlings.
