I am in the male dorm of Central hostel in Riga. 6 beds. 5 occupied, one of them - by me 
Other 4 guys are very different: muslim (very religious one, pray on the knees every few hours), young very shy guy, one dark skinned male (maybe spaniard or smth.) and kind of kazakh or similar. All of them, except "kazakh", slept in their undewears and young guy in his jeans shorts even Only kazakh was naked. And me, of course. I jerked off myself late late night. Also seen, that muslim, when he sleeps, he likes to touch and to grab his dick in his underwear. No sheets on all of us, because very hot all night long. Stayed at HI NYC recently and although the bunks have curtains, lots of guys on Grindr and I got action with a couple of hot college dudes in the hallway showers.

The Male dorm you will find mainly long stayers and not the cleanest of places. 4 bed male dorm was full and guys slept with little or nothing on, So I jerked in my top bunk, but only one guy was kinda looking in my direction but did nothing to indicate he wanted anything

Noted, thank you! I was supposed to be there on the 4th July (still have the large dorm booked as it was non-refundable) but due to lack of funding the plug has been pulled on that part of my trip
I will however - be staying at Safestay Glasgow this week! Anyone familiar with the place? Unlike the English Safestays it looks like this one still has curtains which is a shame... but I'll do what I can!

Should post more of those pics of you in hostels and dorms!HI is heavy curtains and private toilets, but good location for metro and tourism. B. Pub has good male dorms and en suite, but very hard to get to on transit. Also, be mindful of conservative management. Mecco is new and expensive, haven't been there.

Going to London again from 31st July to 2nd August.. I'm so tempted to go back to Generator for all the shower fun, and also cheap prices.. but I do miss male dorms.. but if you luck out at YHA with your room, you have no plan B... :/

Second opinion... Maybe it was just my stay but Lorf did absolutely nothing for me.
Self-contained private shower rooms so no fun there. A fair amount the guys in the male dorms being Muslin and certainly not there for reasons similar to us, and zero sociability. I wasn't exactly looking to make friends but everyone was so silent it was genuinely creepy.
Also, where exactly is the 'coffee' part?
This was when I decided I'm overall done with hostels. Too much of a gamble. Checked out early.
